Hi - it's great you are reaching out to others about Alzheimer's. I wish you the best in your continued effort and life ahead. Here's a brief short story with my personal experience. Feel free to forward to others if you think it will help increase awareness and the need for more research and donations to fight this terrible disease. Best, Mike http://mikegannonnyc.blogspot.com/2010/12/ties.html
You are so strong and an inspiration to all! My heart goes out to you. My sisters and I are dealing with our Mom and she is a challenge and in denial. Friends can be as important as family. My best to you!
Can you tell me where and when you will be speaking again. My husband has Alzheimer's and I think it would be good for him to listen to you. He seems to be in denial. Thanks. Audrey
Audrey -- I'm not sure where you are located -- I have a few close to home in Georgia coming up. If you can let me know I'll be glad to fill you in or get you in touch with someone that might live closer.
I was diagnosed with Early On Set Alzheimer's when I was 46 years old. I am now 61 and working in Advocacy to help fight this disease. I speak on a local and national level about dealing with Alzheimer's while living it. Hopefully, my perspective can and will help others.

So true. Plus I have been readin that socialization and exercise both help ALZ patients. I bet you have been and continue to be a wonderful friend.
