We just returned from five days in Cancun -- it was really beautiful and a lot warmer than Georgia. We visited the Mayan Ruins in Chichen-Itza and some of those photos are here as well.
Hi Kris, I have followed your blogs since I too was dx with early onset....51 yrs old. I have been in "denial" since I can "cover" for most of the cognitive issues (at least now). Your give me hope, and help me to face my fears. I too love traveling to Cancun ...we go every Spring. I am sorry it was not the trip you had hoped. I do understand what you are saying. Know you are not alone. Analies Your posts are inspiring, and show your courage.
Beautiful pictures! Looks like you had an amazing time in Cancun. I haven't been there in years... the other day someone told me it wasn't the same anymore. Then again, they went during Spring Break so maybe it wasn't the best timing. Would love to get back there sometime this year.
I was diagnosed with Early On Set Alzheimer's when I was 46 years old. I am now 61 and working in Advocacy to help fight this disease. I speak on a local and national level about dealing with Alzheimer's while living it. Hopefully, my perspective can and will help others.
