A nice Christmas photo and then a few days later -- after surgery for his broken elbow.

Hi Kris,
I have been reading your blog with much interest and a sense of familiarity -- my mom was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer's at the age of 49, after showing unrecognized signs of the disease for years...I admire you, greatly, for your courage and your willingness to share your life journey with us.
I wanted to extend an invitation to you to particpate in a book project that I am working on to honor those with Alzheimer's for their contributions to family and community. Information about it can be found on my webpage: http://www.historyinthebaking.blogsource.com or by contacting me via e-mail at: sherri68@earthlink.net. I would be honored to have you as a part of this, and send good wishes for the New Year.
I was diagnosed with Early On Set Alzheimer's when I was 46 years old. I am now 61 and working in Advocacy to help fight this disease. I speak on a local and national level about dealing with Alzheimer's while living it. Hopefully, my perspective can and will help others.
